Earful of Fiddle Music & Dance Camp was established in 2009 to bring
together aspiring fiddlers, guitarists and percussive dancers and
experienced dancers and musicians with a knack for passing it on.
Situated lakeside, at the friendly confines of the School Section Lake
Family Camp in Mecosta, Michigan, Earful of Fiddle offers three days of
classes in all levels of traditional fiddling, percussive dance, banjo
and guitar. Four nights of jam sessions and called dances allow students
to hone their skills, encouraging participation and preservation within
the traditional arts heritage of the Great Lakes region.
Mandolin and other melody players are welcome and may attend fiddle classes.
Arrive Monday, June 18th after 6 p.m for registration. (No evening
meal will be served.)
Sleeping space is available in rustic cabins. Those wishing to camp can secure a site at the campground
